Plateau State House of Assembly Speaker Rt Hon Dewan Urges Public to Disregard Fake Poster, Warns Mischief Makers.

DISREGARD the e-posters Saying "2027 Unshakable Mandate, Amb. Dewan Kudangbena Gabriel for Governor, Plateau State" It has come to my notice that there is an ongoing fabrication online by mischief makers that I, Rt. Hon. Amb. Dewan Kudangbena Gabriel is campaigning for the Governorship seat of Plateau State come 2027.  I did not only find this publication laughable but misleading and I hereby condemn it in it's totality. I have never given a thought to such aspiration in the nearest future not to say at this material point in time when what we're clamouring for is a lasting peace in Mangu LGA and on the Plateau.  Tomorrow is for the living, my focus is to deliver on the four years mandate bestowed upon me by the good people of Pankshin North Constituency and by God grace the speakership of the 10th assembly. By this, I am charging the general public to discard and disregard such fabrication. It is a FAKE NEWS. I want to warn in the strongest terms that suc

Plateau Killings: Gov Mutfwang Vows To Clamp Down On Drug Peddlers

Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has vowed to clamp down on drug peddlers in the state, blaming drug abuse for the state’s escalating insecurity. The governor stated this on Friday while visiting villages devastated by the recent attacks in Mangu Local Government Area and other parts of the state. He voiced his deep sorrow at the sight of the devastation and willful destruction of life and property during the attacks. Mutfwang stated that the killings were a result of drug use, emphasising that the industry of trafficking illegal narcotics must end. “Of course, there was the involvement of drugs; this is something we must tackle to be able to address the issues of the drug menace in our society. “This is why we want to use this medium to tell those in drug business to know that their time on the Plateau is up; we will not tolerate it any longer. “We will go after them, and if they have anywhere they want to do their business, Plateau is certainly not the place,” he said. Monday's Triumph: A Tale of Resilience and Success

Title: "" In the bustling mechanic village of Bedwell in Calabar, Cross River, back in 2022, I found myself fixing my car and in need of a phone charger. That's when I encountered Monday, a young man with dreams as big as his wheelbarrow filled with chargers and phone accessories. Engaging in a conversation with Monday revealed his aspirations of owning a large electronic shop. I shared words of encouragement, urging him to persevere in his hustle and maintain honesty with his clients. As our paths diverged, he requested my number for reasons unknown. Despite the mystery, I obliged, and we parted ways. Fast forward to September 2023, Monday reached out to me with exciting news – he had secured a small shop at the popular Etim Edem Park. Intrigued, I made my way to witness the transformation. To my delight, Monday's mini-shop was brimming with gadgets, a testament to his unwavering determination. Witnessing Monday's progress left me both ama

Are You Honourable or Horrible? The Dichotomy in the Lives of Nigerian Politicians and Gullible Supporters

Are You Honourable or Horrible? The Dichotomy in the Lives of Nigerian Politicians and Gullible Supporters In the complex landscape of Nigerian politics, a stark dichotomy often emerges between the self-proclaimed honorability of politicians and the sometimes harsh reality perceived by their constituents. The term "Honourable" is commonly used as a title for elected officials, a designation that implies respect, integrity, and a commitment to public service. However, a closer look at the actions of some politicians, juxtaposed with the expectations of their gullible supporters, reveals a disheartening truth. Nigerian politicians, particularly those in the limelight, frequently adorn themselves with titles like "Honourable" while navigating a landscape marred by corruption, scandals, and a perceived lack of accountability. The question then arises: Are they genuinely honourable or merely using the title as a veneer to mask their questionable conduct? One
