In a remarkable gesture aimed at advancing Nigeria’s education sector, a Plateau State–born, UK-based academic, Dr. Moses Dang, has donated three boxes of assorted textbooks to Bingham University, New Karu, Nasarawa State.
Receiving the donation, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba, described the gesture as a “valuable contribution to teaching, learning, and research.” He emphasized the importance of academic partnerships and assured that the University would formally acknowledge the donor through an official letter of appreciation.
Also speaking, the Director of the Centre for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership Studies, Dr. Sabastine Abu, noted that the donation was made possible through Bingham University’s international collaboration with scholars abroad. He expressed optimism that such partnerships would continue to provide the institution with access to up-to-date academic resources from reputable international publishers.
The University Librarian, Assoc. Prof. Joshua Magoi, equally expressed his gratitude, describing the donated textbooks as meaningful and lasting support to the University’s academic community.
It would be recalled that in 2017 and 2023, Dr. Moses Dang extended a similar gesture to Plateau State University, Bokkos, further demonstrating his consistent commitment to strengthening higher education in Nigeria.
Dr. Dang’s passion for contributing to the growth and development of Nigeria’s education system remains commendable and inspiring.
