Dr. Janet Pam Emerges Overall Best at 2025 World Masters Powerlifting Championships...Governor Mutfwang Congratulates Her

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has congratulated Dr. Janet Pam for emerging the Overall Best Powerlifter in the Women’s M2 84kg category at the 2025 World Masters Powerlifting Championships held in Cape Town, South Africa.

In a statement issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, on Monday, Governor Mutfwang described Dr. Pam’s achievement as a remarkable milestone that has brought honour to Plateau State and Nigeria.

He praised Dr. Pam, whom he described as a hardworking and resilient athlete, for her consistency, discipline, and dedication to excellence in sports. The Governor noted that although she represented Great Britain at the competition, her success remains a source of pride to Plateau and the entire nation.

Mutfwang further highlighted Dr. Pam’s contribution to sports development, describing her as an inspiration to younger generations and a worthy ambassador of Plateau State. He lauded her humility, wisdom, and commitment to service, saying her life reflects the virtues of perseverance and patriotism.

Dr. Janet Pam, wife of Dr. Ishaku Pam and a native of Fan District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, was celebrated by the Governor for projecting a positive image of the State on the global stage.

Governor Mutfwang extended his best wishes to Dr. Pam on behalf of his family, the Government, and the people of Plateau State, praying for continued strength, wisdom, and good health as she advances in her sporting career.

2023: Catholics Berate Lalong Over Attempt To Drag Pope Into Politics

August 11, 2022  Concerned Catholics in Nigeria have called for the suspension of Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong for dragging the name of Pope into local politics that has nothing to do with the Church.
