PLATEAU GOVERNOR CONGRATULATES DR AMOS JOSIAH DANGUT ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS WAEC NIGERIA HEAD

The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has congratulated Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut on his appointment as the Head of the Nigeria National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

In a congratulatory message, Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the management of WAEC for selecting Dr Dangut and praised his remarkable contributions to examination security and the growth and development of WAEC in Nigeria.

He noted that Dr. Dangut's appointment was well-deserved, considering his passion for education and his meritorious rise in the organization from Senior Assistant Registrar/Head of Examinations Security to Deputy Branch Controller in different branches across the country.

Governor Mutfwang said that the ability of the new WAEC Nigeria Head to navigate diverse responsibilities and bring on board new innovations demonstrated his leadership acumen.

He expressed confidence that Dr Dangut would excel in his new assignment, having performed remarkably well in his previous roles in the organization, and urged him to leverage his expertise to enhance the standard of education in the country.

He urged him to sustain the Plateau spirit of peace, unity, excellence, transparency, commitment, patriotism, honesty, and selfless service to God and humanity.

Governor Mutfwang, on behalf of the government and the good people of Plateau State, felicitated with Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut and wished him a successful and fruitful tenure.

2023: Catholics Berate Lalong Over Attempt To Drag Pope Into Politics

August 11, 2022  Concerned Catholics in Nigeria have called for the suspension of Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong for dragging the name of Pope into local politics that has nothing to do with the Church. According to the group, Lalong should be punished for bringing the name of Pope and the Catholic Church to disrepute while giving his reasons for accepting to serve as Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
