As a Lead Inspector and Independent Marine Asset Integrity/Reliability Inspector, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the dedication, resilience, and expertise displayed by seafarers like yourselves. You have embraced the challenges of the sea with unwavering determination, ensuring the smooth operation of vessels and the safe transportation of goods across the world's oceans.

Your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism is truly commendable. You face countless hardships, including prolonged periods away from loved ones, unpredictable weather conditions, and the constant demand for technical expertise. Despite these challenges, you continue to excel in your roles and contribute significantly to the global economy.

Today, as we celebrate SEAFARERS Day, let us take a moment to recognize and appreciate the vital role that seafarers play in international trade and the global supply chain. It is through your hard work and dedication that goods reach their destinations, economies thrive, and nations prosper. Your contributions are essential to sustaining the interconnectedness of our world.

I would also like to express my gratitude to the families and loved ones who support seafarers throughout their journeys. Your unwavering support, understanding, and sacrifices enable seafarers to fulfill their duties and responsibilities with peace of mind. Your role in the success of seafaring cannot be overstated, and we salute you for your invaluable contribution.

On this special day, I urge maritime organizations, governments, and stakeholders to renew their commitment to seafarer welfare and well-being. Let us work together to ensure that seafarers are provided with the necessary resources, training, and support systems to thrive in their profession. By investing in their welfare, we not only enhance their lives but also safeguard the future of the maritime industry.

As we celebrate SEAFARERS Day, let us also take a moment to reflect on the importance of preserving and protecting our oceans and marine ecosystems. The sea is not only our workplace but also a precious resource that sustains life on Earth. Let us strive to be responsible custodians of the oceans, implementing sustainable practices and raising awareness about the need for environmental stewardship.

Once again, I extend my warmest wishes to all seafarers on this SEAFARERS Day. May your journeys be safe, your spirits be high, and your efforts be rewarded abundantly. Your dedication and professionalism inspire us all, and I am truly honored to be part of this remarkable community.
