BRING BACK MY JOS

Jos city, known for its cold climate,
Where the people embody a cool vibe.
The weather, icy and crisp,
Remains consistent despite seasonal shift.
In tough times, the people endure,
Their spirits unwavering, steadfast and pure.
"Bring Back My Jos," we plea,
For the city's charm and unity to see.

Once Kwararafa and Rex, a cinema grand,
Where we'd lose ourselves in the magic of the land.
West of mines, our minds we'd waste,
With roasted fish and chilled drinks, a delightful taste.

In the Zion city of Jos, night never fell,
A constant buzz of life, we fondly recall.
Katako, our Gucci boutique of yore,
With designer clothing that left us wanting more.

Timberland boots and Fubu jeans,
Jtown boys flaunting stylish scenes.
"Bring back my Jos," we implore,
To relive those fashion moments we adore.

DADINKOWA, a breakfast hood,
Hot kosai and akamu from Hajiya, so good.
Terminus market, a world-class zone,
Bustling with activity, where dreams were sown.

Mighty Jet and Plateau United's play,
Rwang Pam Stadium, a place to stay.
Sallah meat at Dogon karfe, a treat,
MUKTAR, my childhood friend, sharing our feast.

Video Mars, VHS movies to rent,
404 mixed with Bene seed, time well spent.
NTA, sipping Tere with my goons,
Mornings filled with laughter, under sunny moons.

Farin gada, a bridge so pure, Gada biyu the double bridge..
MADO villa where Aminu Waklek play football every Saturday, , basket mouth on PRTVC radio Cracking our ribs, laughter's melodic flow every Saturday morning

Trekking to Riyom from Kuru for FCS rallies so grand,
Salad for #100, a budget that was planned.
During Muslim fasting, waking up for suhur,
Dan wakke connection, a tradition we adore.

Hot suya at Angwan rogo, on the way to Unijos,
Congo in Russia, a memory that glows.
Words fall short, emotions run deep,
If you feel the same, let your voice seep.

The old Jtown rhymes, a source of motivation,
Let us unite, a shared dedication.
"Bring Back My Jos," a heartfelt plea,
To revive the city's glory, for all to see.

August 11, 2022  Concerned Catholics in Nigeria have called for the suspension of Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong for dragging the name of Pope into local politics that has nothing to do with the Church. According to the group, Lalong should be punished for bringing the name of Pope and the Catholic Church to disrepute while giving his reasons for accepting to serve as Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. Speaking as a press conference in Abuja addressed by National Convener/President, Dr Ben Amodu, said the concerned Catholics in Nigeria are alarmed that Lalong would elect to throw caution into the wind by dragging the revered Catholic Church into local politics in Nigeria for whatever it is worth. “The reference to the Pope in his statement for accepting to serve as the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council was made in poor taste and a puerile attempt to drag the Catholic Church into a matter that has no bearing with the
