2016 was one of the years Plateau People groan helplessly over the killing of a Paramount ruler in Bokkos by the Popular unknown Gunmen, this to many was the hight of the enemies plans to desecrate the Plateau heritage.
Citizens sort out ways to draw government attention on the need to do the needful in arresting a situation that has left citizens in fear, like every other time a protest was staged against the killing of Saf Ron Kulere, a paramount ruler from Bokkos. Alot of Plateau youths took part in the protest with the like of Mashat Alfred Makut , Amos Mabur Yamtal , Taller Digitalsoja , Myself and other notable Plateau youths, The protest started from old airport Junction through Dadin Kowa, down to Zaramaganda Junction to the old government House where we met a team of security personnel stationed ahead of us, the protest was peace until the security ran out of patience and he'll let loose.... we were teargased and pursued like rats and dogs until Seemo Alfred Markut and Amos Yamtal were arrested leading to the Death of Conscience.
That Day Seemo and Amos were arrested and taken into the old Government House before being transferred to Anglo Jos Police station where we later followed in solidarity, calls were made by persons with connect and the duo were released from detention, unfortunately conscience was on the stretcher.
Weeks later Seemo and Yamtal became more Vuvuzeling than South African, Yamtal branded his car while Seemo Afred went into Comradiaring the social media with anti-people but government praise and hyping session amidst tones of dissatisfaction, we read about Banana and pills but got relieved when the story was rebuffed.
Today I woke up to read on the social media a purpoted resignation from Seemo Alfred Makut (Meanwhile Yamtal has found another love) over the recent and unfortunate killing of our People by the enemies, he accused his principal of neglecting his people while on his campaigns PC activities Indeed Conscience has risen.
While I commend Seemo for his bravery in tendering a resignation, I see it as a smoke with no flames, an inconsequential act that will have little or no effect on the Governor and his team being someone with an fallen Conscience and a man who rubbished his Hiphop career to becoming a Noisy Comrade who picks on anyone who speaks against his rhythm, calling all those who speak against the killings bigots.... here we are conscience is risen.
Aside the fact that the APC inner goons always distant themselves from his Antics, it is worth knowing that Lalong's succees or failure today has no affect on Seemo as he is far away from the rocky and lushy Plateau after achieving the Comrady aim.
No one should use the blood of innocent Plateau sons and daughters to face-lift their dead Conscience.We know those who are for us and those who are for their selfish selves, indeed Conscience has finally Risen from the Pit.
May we not be shamed and be ashamed.
