Plateau United defeats Esperance of Tunis, Breaking 9yrs Record

Plateau United on Sunday 9th October, 2022 defeats the Esperance Of Tunis by 2 goals to 1.

This milestone victory by the Peace Boys over the Tunisian side is the first in 9 years that a Nigerian knocked them out of the competition having been defeated last time when Heartland of Owerri beat them 2:1 at home soil before playing a 1:1 stalemate in Tunis to send them packing.

In reaction, the technical crew of Esperance expressed shocked with the quality of Plateau United players stating that the two goals they concede wasn't even enough to justify the superiority of Peace Boys over them.

The second half saw Plateau United missed many golden chances to add more goals, but on a general rating the team was superb from start to finish.
