R Kelly Bags 30 Years Jail Term After Years of Sex Related Trials

A U.S. district court judge in Brooklyn sentenced R. Kelly to 30 years in prison Wednesday. Kelly was found guilty of racketeering and eight counts of violations of the Mann Act, a sex trafficking law, in 2021. Though the R&B singer has faced allegations of sexual misconduct, outrage grew after the 2019 docuseries ’Surviving R. Kelly’ allowed his accusers to speak candidly about their experience. Kelly has been in jail since his arrest in 2019. He faces child pornography and obstruction of justice charges in Chicago.

KWALLU @ 48

Birthday celebrations on a common belief are events that shows evidence of earthly existence. But birthdays are also times of reflection, assessment and evaluation of ourselves as well as future plans on how best we can evolve. As a political figure, assessing Isaac Kwallu has frequently been a topic of public discuss, taking centre stage in almost every public domain. But can a common person ever have such grace? I don't think. There seems to be something special about him to warrant such public attention. His record in office for just an ample time have made it impossible to talk about political success stories without using IKK as a relevant example. His disciplined growth pattern coupled with a determined lifestyle have set the tune for his humility and love for the commoners, while his educational and enterpreneural values have made him such a great leader that sees opportunity even when others can't. No wonder some take forever in office with nothing to show b

Why Tinubu shouldn’t pick Lalong as running mate - Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande

As a major stakeholder in the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Plateau State, let me without mincing words, first of all make it clear that, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was not the choice of Governor Simon Lalong at the just concluded presidential primary of the APC that held at the Eagle Square in Abuja. It is clear to most people in Plateau State and beyond, that Governor Lalong had an aspirant he was supporting for the presidential ticket of the APC but it was definitely not Tinubu who later won the ticket. Governor Lalong threw his weight fully behind former governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi who has been his political ally for long and every sincere observer of political events can attest to this. The Amaechi/Lalong alliance had been established since the former handed over to him as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers and has since then made him his point man in the North Central Zone and was even a major financier of his governorship election in 201

This accusation was made by former Kaduna lawmaker, Sani Shehu, on Twitter on Saturday.
