Read Full Speech as Quaan-Pan LGC Secretary GIDEON GODENAAN DASHE Assume Office

*A VERY BIG THANK YOU.*

It is with a huge delight and grateful heart that I wish to return all the well wishes upon my humble approval by the Execitive Chairman of Qua’an Pan LGA, Honorable Ernest A. Da’a to serve in his cabinet as “our” Council Secretary.

This, to me, and many of us who have believed in this mission, remains an immediate task and a sacred assignment to serve all the good people of Qua’an Pan here at home and far away.

As most of us are aware, this is an opportunity to harness our strengths for the best purposes and collaborate all our  efforts for the upliftment of our entire Local Government Council. Our doors, hands and ears are open to objective suggestions that may further better our interest as a people while we hope to listen to you as this is work in progress.

I remain steadfast and most importantly, humbled by the trust invested and reposed in the office I hope to occupy with all sense of responsibility and humility. Out of many of the most qualified candidates for the job, I was picked and for that reason, I wish to work side by side with such great minds for the benefit of the council.

I am grateful to God Almighty for the opportunity, grateful to our most progressive party for considering a team I believe will make a difference, going forward. I thank the Executive Governor of Plateau State and Chairman, Northern Governor’s forum, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Barr. (Dr.) Simon Bako Lalong for his erudite compassion and warm considerations at promoting the interest of not only the party and its members, but displaying a general outlook for the interest of the entire Plateau State and beyond. To the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ernest A. Da’a, rest assured that you shall not regret your choice.

To my immediate constituency, the very capable and gallant youths, this is a charge to all of us and since we possess the power of hind and foresight, I’m asking us to take this opportunity to assure those ahead of us that we are ready to handle great responsibilities through immense service. I will reach out to all of us at the right time. Let’s make a difference starting from our land.

My massive gratitudes, also, goes to my immediate and extended family. I am grateful for tolerating my long absence and constant fluctuations and inconsistency through the entire process. In the end, God has shown his face by rewarding our efforts. I am indeed grateful.

To the very good people of Qua’an Pan LGA, here I am! Bent to serve you correctly and as we continue to pray together for the successes of this administration, we are likewise hopeful that you will call us to order when we are “seemingly” derailing. We are here today,  some others will surely come tomorrow. So we are indeed cautious of the fact that this is not an ultimate office but an opportunity to serve.

May we all prevail.

Thank you most sincerely.

Yours in service,

*GG Dashe, (Eze 1 )*

August 11, 2022  Concerned Catholics in Nigeria have called for the suspension of Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong for dragging the name of Pope into local politics that has nothing to do with the Church. According to the group, Lalong should be punished for bringing the name of Pope and the Catholic Church to disrepute while giving his reasons for accepting to serve as Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
